A co-worker of mine request a diaper cake for a baby shower at the last minute( less than twenty -four hours notice). Thankfully I work under pressure and was able to put something toegther that I'm sure the expectant mother will be please with. I had to make a late night run to Wally World, since I was low on ribbon and a few other things. I'm so glad that I had one a friends to me company as I put everything together. I hate to tut my horn, like I am the bomb(LOL I AM !!!!), but I think I out did myself with this diaper cake.

I recently have developed this craving for Mangos and wondered what it would taste like if they were mixed in cupcakes. So I decided to try my hand at Mango Cupcakes with Mango Flavored Buttecreme. I was definitly impressed with the consistency of teh butter creme this time, it was just right not too thin. My daughter was asking for cupcakes so in the same day I dediced to make some Cookies in Creme Cupcakes. The cupcakes where a big hit at the office the next day, I have turned into the Monday Cupcake Lady. I think I'm going ot chill with the baking at least for a minute until I complete the fisrt course of the Wilton Decorating Course. I havew attended to classes since the last post, I'm ready to take the next course II.

Slow To The Race, but a Beautiful Finish....

So I completed my second diaper cake for one of my sorority sisters this past month. I strive for perfection in everything that I do. I was really impressed with the way that the finished product came out. I actually finished this diaper cake much quicker than the last cake. I look forward to creating the next diaper cake.

Sweet Sensations.....

I decided to treat my co-workers to "Chocolate Hazelnut" Cupcakes. It gave my the opportunity to use my new Cupcake Courier, that I was finally able to locate at TJ Maxx Home Store. I never made these before, so I was a little nervous about how they would come out. To my surprise the cupcakes were a hit with the office. I'm thinking about whipping up another batch for the upcoming week.

I'm Back!

There have been a lot things going since the last post TOO may to name. I'm finally back; with some new ideas and ready t take this to the next level. It means that I will not only be doing event planning, but allowing my future clients to pick A'la Carte what they would like to have in their package. I just completed a baby shower, this past weekend, where I had the opportunity to showcase my skills. It was also the first time that I completed a diaper cake, it was SOOOO much fun. Still brainstorming and planning.....

I plan on attending the Nashville Bridal Show next month at the Nashville Convention Center. I'm enjoying learing more about the indiustry here in Nashville. One would probably do u-turn, but this only gives me more motivtaion and drive to fulfill my dream and not to become discouraged while going through this process.

I'm currently in the process of planning a baby shower for a friend that is due in a few months. I have ALOT of ideas, but have managed to narrow it down to something simple

I'm trying hard to make sure that I touch basis from to time to provide updated information on this journey. I have spent alot of time researching at library, viewing multiple websites and magazines. I will be working overtime this weekend, so I will utilize that time to organize all of my thoughts. Keep checking back.

I've just completed my first wedding, I'm so glad its over(tired does not say enough). There were so many emotions during this phase a planning. I'm proud to say that for the most part I was able to keep the bride underbudget. We decided to go with a ALOT of DIY projects(call me Miss. Domestic). Although each project was a little time consuming I throughly enjoyed the experience. Especially staying up until almost 4am in the morning a day in a half before the wedding putting the last touches on things. After completing this event I feel confident enough to continue with this event planning/concierge business. I've think I finally have found my nitch, I will contine to pray that this will be a start to a full-time lucreative business.
