Desserts for the Deserving.......

This past month I had the please to participate in a wonderful program that matches desiring people with crafters, bloggers, bakers. " Desserts for the Deserving is a program that was started in 2011 with the purpose of showering with people with a little love. This was TRULY a GREAT experience to be able to gift someone(I don't know) a specially crafted treat. When I was contacted via e-mail with the information on the child person I was matched with. I thought to myself what kind kind of treat could I create for this found lady. After reading her heart felt story, I was instantly hit with SUPERHERO COLLECTION. I had SO much fun creating this collection and I would definitely like to be apart of this experience in the future.

100th Celebrations...

I had the pleasure of completing a cookie set for a sweet lady that turned 100 a few weeks back. The cookies are a combination of a her favorite things, one of them being Coco-Cola Soft drink. Can you believe that she has been drinking 3 cokes for the last 80 years...

Debuting New Cupcake Flavor:

"Sweet Heaven"

Cake: Pineapple infused with coconut emulsion, pineapple and cranberry vodka(light traces)

Buttercreme: CBC standard light buttercream infused with a little pineapple juice and a special ingredient.

July...

So have rolled into the 7th month(July)... It is soooooo HOT here in Nashville, TN and the surrounding areas. When the weather is this hot that usually means the humidity increases in the kitchen(that is already small). I'm thankful that for this month the orders are spaced out so I don't have to burn up in the kitchen...

Which leads to talk about my next project DIY... If you know me well... I love a little DIY, the had part is marking off time to actually sit down and start. I managed to a custom dry erase board for work and a glitter decorated bowl(I wasn't happy with the outcome..so NO PICTURE)..
